Sew Love Tea Do – don’t mind if I do

posted in: Grow Mama, Uncategorised

I popped into see the lovely Sarah Lancaster at the Sew Love Tea Do sewing lounge in St Kevin’s Arcade on Auckland’s Karangahape Rd yesterday. What a stunner of a store it is too. If you love crafty goodness, fabric and making of any sort, you will love it too.

Lots of vintage tools, the colour all pops, Sarah’s welcome is warm and all the sewing machines have names. Yes! My kinda place for sure.

Do any of you follow Pip Lincolne’s blog, MeetmeatMikes? It reminded me of her style. Chirpy! Warm. Friendly. And very very cool.

Can’t wait to do a workshop here. So fun. Spread the word people, pop in, chalk it on the sidewalks…we need more heartfelt places like Sew Love Tea Do.

In Sarah’s words: We’re all about learning to SEW, giving LOVE back to the earth, sharing sugar for a neighbour’s TEA and using crafty hands to DO some good.
Sew Love Tea Do is a mobile workshop that can pop up anywhere! We bring you the tools you need to learn crafty skills, nurture your creativity and share tales over a cuppa.
She’s a good egg that Sarah.

It just makes me happy looking at these photos. And yes, in case you were wondering, some fabrics did speak to me and ask to be brought home. These beauties. Ahem. I am on a creating spree at the moment and can’t wait to cut into these!
